Applying a decal to a curved surface can be easy if you take your time and follow these simple steps:
1. Clean the surface
Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol or mild soap and water. Let it dry completely—no dust, dirt, or oils!
2. Position your decal
Hold the decal in place where you want it. Use painter’s tape to secure the top edge like a hinge so it stays aligned.
3. Peel the backing slowly
Lift the decal from the bottom and peel away the paper backing—leave the vinyl stuck to the clear transfer tape.
4. Apply from the top down
Starting at the top edge, press the decal down little by little, gently smoothing it along the curve as you go. Use your fingers or a soft cloth—work slowly to avoid wrinkles or bubbles.
5. Smooth it out
Once it's on, rub over the decal with your fingers or a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth to help it stick well.
6. Remove the transfer tape
Slowly peel off the clear transfer tape at a sharp angle. If the vinyl starts to lift, press it back down and go slower.
Tip: Curved surfaces may need a bit more patience—but go slow and smooth, and it’ll turn out great!
