A Closer Look at Signage for Hospitals, Clinics and Public Buildings

Clear signage is part of care. Patients and visitors arrive stressed, often for the first time, and the lettering on a door or a wall either helps them or slows them down. This studio is run by a registered nurse who has worked the other side of those doors, and that shows in how we think about words, sizes and placement.

We make door lettering for clinics and offices, department and waiting area signs, washroom and change room lettering, and wayfinding words for corridors and entrances. Lettering is cut large enough to read at a walking pace and in colours with strong contrast against the door or wall behind it.

Vinyl suits public buildings because it applies without drilling or painting, updates when a department moves, and removes cleanly when a space is renovated. One standard of font, colour and sizing can run across a whole building or a whole site, so every floor reads the same way.

Facilities and operations teams can order room by room or send a full list for a floor or a building. Every piece arrives labelled with its room, with the written application guide in the package, and most pieces apply in minutes with no special tools.

For patient facing areas, wording matters as much as size. Keep it short, plain and kind, and we will cut exactly the words you approve, in the finish that suits the building.

Institution Signage Questions

Can you supply a whole building?
Yes. Send the room list with measurements and every piece is cut to one standard and labelled by room.

Does the lettering damage doors when removed?
Applied to sound painted or glass surfaces, it removes cleanly with gentle heat and leaves the surface ready for the next sign.

Can you match our existing signs?
Send a photo of the current signage and we will match the style and colour as closely as vinyl allows.
